my first pottery, november 2023. i dont hate it. it IS awful. even for a first, bad. but i was 100% lost when i made it. not just with pottery. i had no idea what i was doing or where anything in my life was going. looking at it now, i dont really see a bad pot. i see proof that things can get better, even when you cant see how yet.

I tried to copy one of the pots that @jackietalmeylennon made recently. i think i got close. deffinatly precarious things happening. Im still not sure how i can take the ideas and make them my own yet, but i did some things i havent done before. this was deff a push on my skill limits. lots of new things for me. the ridiculous handle and offset lid are my favourite parts. I might still do some carving. depends if i trust that handle. this was a really cool learning experience. #teapot #ceramicteapot #handbuiltceramics #contemporaryceramics potterylove
